iDream of: a Runaway Bridal Shower

After you've thrown that fabulous engagement party I put together last week, you have to shower the bride - correct?

What better way than to continue the theme and make it for a "runaway bride"...not that she's really running away obviously because that would be tragic but she's running away to get married to the love of her life...that's if she doesn't meet some dude that sweeps her off her feet and into a gondola, kidding kidding!

Part 2 of 3: iDream of...

a Runaway Bridal Shower

Since we have done this a couple times before - I'm sure you get the order of what I am about to present to you. I couldn't find any invitations that really screamed at me for this shower,  I am imagining something simplistic...not even kidding, I am imagining a witty text message to whoever you want to come. Something personal to each guest that is going to be a part of your shower because they are going to go on this adventure with you when the time comes for your destination wedding.

I don't see this shower being over the top themed but just subtle hints here and there, natural colors and rustic accents. That way it will tie in the globe accents but you can still make it rustic since it is a borderline "travel" theme. I see this bridal shower being extremely intimate and comfortable so what better way than to host it in a beautiful backyard? Here are some setting inspirations that I've fallen in love with.

One Hitched Lane just does a blogger good...

Rustic romance.

And here are some party details that I'm into for this runaway bridal shower.

Romantic flowers for the table.

Simple DIY to stream your party with the engaged couple!

Mix and match the travel garland in my previous iDream and this neutral wedding garland by Fabulously Homemade for a photo booth backdrop.

I am a huge fan of small details and these "in flights snacks" for your guests to munch on are perfection by Tina Whitlock.

Personalize the liquor you are going to have by Stella Bella Paperie.

These cupcakes are to die for, simple yet themed.

Change the destination from "honeymoon" to "wedding", the flowers to match the theme of your destination and these Cakes by Susan are the perfect touch.

Hopefully these iDreams don't seem too over the top! I don't post these iDreams to make them totally unattainable to whoever comes across them, I try to make them simple for anyone to throw. Hope you are having one hell of a hump day.

  1. I paid a very attractive price for my new dress with free shipping, I am 5'6" busty and in typical size 16/18, if it were not for me loosing weight this would have fit me right out of the box. No alterations needed.

  2. We could accommodate 75 people plus a dance floor inside the main room easily. The food was delicious and the ambiance was elegant, we loved it.
