iDream of: Something Blue

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!

This week I'm introducing some new segments to my blog, one of them being my "iDream" segment. I love creative, detailed and unique party stylings...and while my Pinterest keeps me busy and hopeful that I can own, accomplish, and have five million weddings to the man I love so no pin goes wasted, I wanted to share some soirĂ©es I am virtually throwing together that may motivate you for your next event! (and an excuse for me to act like I actually threw the parties I post shhh)  Something iDream about...eh ehhh, get it?

Something Blue

Engagement and bridal parties seem to have a consistent theme - tea party, breakfast at Tiffany's, Paris, pink and glitter explosion - you get the idea, right? Well here is a theme that caught my eye (it also caught my interest because it wasn't too girlie and kept to my tomboyish heart),
"Something Blue."

So here is the run down: I would throw this in great weather, outside with extreme lush, green landscaping with an open bar and detail it to a tee. Boom, bam...done. I imagine the invitations being on the simpler side with a royal blue envelope. I found these on Etsy by STNstationary and they were perfect.

Next order of business would be the dessert table and table lay out. The dessert table needs variety, flowers, and nice linens. I would make the blue more of a true or royal blue than light blue for the following...

Love the variety for the guests.

Love the floral display if you were looking for something more intimate.

The blue glass just gets me.

"Something Blue" turned into everything blue...whoops! I love the simple elegance this party would exude. Hope you enjoyed my first iDream!
